+A new wave of Dutch-sung alternative music seems to be pouring into the country; one with whimsical lyrics and improbably catchy melodies. On Friday, October 7, Varia will highlight two of these talents, for everyone who wants to hear it!

+**Burger Service** is a man of few words, a man after your heart. Under this pseudonym lies the solo project of Jan Tromp (Venlo, 1995) who knows how to brew a combination of lo-fi, punk and wave into a tasteful musical potpourri. The concert at Varia will also serve as the release of his LP 'demo', released by the Rotterdam Bergpolder Label.
