+In 2023, Varia hosted a [PrePostPrint Local Meetup](https://varia.zone/en/PrePostPrint-local-meetup.html), where a Netherlands-based group was formed. The PPP NL group is a local satellite of the wider PPP community. While free/libre open source practices seem to be more widely discussed in the context of France and Belgium, we are missing spaces for exchange and converse in the local context of The Netherlands.

+So, in September and October 2024, two more PPP Local Meetups will be held at Varia, within a new, experimental format. These meetups will be combined with Calm Coding, which are low-key social hangouts for those who like to write computer programs in the company of other people. For these PPP Local Meetups, there will be no set agenda. Instead, the idea is to have some informal moments to meet, hang out and spend some time together working on design and publishing experiments at Varia. As usual with Calm Coding, there will be a check-in at the beginning of the evening, and a check-out summary at the end. These meetups are free and open to the public. No registration, nor expertise is required.

+In 2023 organiseerde Varia een [PrePostPrint Local Meetup](https://varia.zone/en/PrePostPrint-local-meetup.html), waar een Nederlandse satteliet-groep werd gevormd. Hoewel free/libre open source-praktijken breder besproken lijken te worden in de context van Frankrijk en België, missen we ruimte voor uitwisseling en conversatie in de lokale, Nederlandse context.

+Daarom vinden er in september en oktober 2024 nog twee PPP Local Meetups plaats bij Varia, binnen een nieuw, experimenteel format. Deze bijeenkomsten worden gecombineerd met Calm Coding, rustige sociale bijeenkomsten voor degenen die graag computerprogramma's schrijven in het gezelschap van andere mensen. Voor deze PPS Local Meetups is er geen vaste agenda. In plaats daarvan is het de bedoeling om informele momenten te hebben om elkaar te ontmoeten, rond te hangen en wat tijd samen door te brengen bij het ontwerpen en publiceren van experimenten bij Varia. Zoals gebruikelijk bij Calm Coding is er aan het begin van de avond een check-in en aan het einde een uitcheckoverzicht. Deze bijeenkomsten zijn gratis en openbaar. Registratie, noch expertise is vereist.
