Following on from the recent tour of Charlois in which we uncovered the variety of ecology in the area using the app Obsidentify, we take a deeper dive into the history of such technologies. Considering the origins of taxonomy and citizen science, the workshop is a point of entry into a broader discussion looking towards new tech that is making it ever more simple and accessible to 'capture nature in a single click'. Exploring digital conservation techniques and their impact, during the workshop we consider how digital conservation techniques might shape the future landscape.
